Nice untouched examples of the 1933 pattern SS dagger are in extremely short supply at the moment. This example manufactured by Richard Herder, Solingen, is exactly that...a beautiful untouched dagger complete with its original 1934 dated leather vertical hanger and 'D' loop for belt attachment. The black ebony grip is free from any cracks or splits and remains perfectly fitted to the nickel-silver upper and lower cross guards (this is actually one of the nicest fitting daggers you will find). The lower crossguard
bears a stamped 'I' and the blade retains most polish and crossgrain (free from any unslighlty pitting or ugly blemishes). The motto is clear but typically has lost the original blacking from inside the lettering, and the maker logo is also clear and sharp. The scabbard is anodised and retains approximately 80/90% black anodised finish overall. At the top area (protected by the vertical hanger) the scabbard still retains 100% laquer as well, which extends down just under the leather loop. The bottom mount has
a dented bottom ball, so typical of 1933 pattern daggers carried on a vertical hanger assembly. The black leather vertical hanger remains in good supple condition and is complete with a nickel-silver DRGM stamped spring clip.

A superb example of an SS chained dagger with all nickel-silver fittings
Price: SOLD
Beautiful example of the SS 1936 chained dagger complete with full nickel-silver fittings throughout. Particular mention should be made of the fitment of the grip to the top mounts, which as the images show, is faultless. The blade is typically without maker and has the full SS motto. The blade has survived in perfect condition with 100% polish and crossgrain. Scabbard bears its original painted
finish and the nickel-silver mounts fit to it beautifully. The chains have excellent detail and bear the impressed runes within octagon to the reverse of one link. The dagger has never been over cleaned and there is still a pleasant patination existing to the nickel-silver. It would be hard to improve on this dagger.

Price: SOLD

Nickel-silver fittings throughout and with a black ebony grip fitting absolutely perfectly with the upper and lower crossguards. The blade has survived in excellent condition with most polish and crossgrain. Only the dagger being taken in and out of the scabbard leaving the typical runner marks, stops the blade from being listed as mint, or close to. The fit to the scabbard is like a glove, and the blade glides into the sheath effortlessly.
The undented scabbard itself retains 95/98% black anodised finish and the nicely fitting top and bottom mounts are in good order, with all screws present (one very little knock on the end ball is evident). The dagger still retains its original SS black leather hanging strap, the nickel-silver clip bearing the RZM logo and maker stamps. The SS man's membership number is engraved to the underside of the lower crossguard, and remains unresearched.

The black ebony grip is perfect and has a fine standing Runes enamel eye and beautiful mint aluminium eagle/swastika. The blade in is mint pristine condition with just light runner marks showing that it has been withdrawn from the
scabbard a few times in its life, as such the blade has full crossgrain finish and full blackening to the motto and makers logos. The blade has the 'double-logo' with the RZM logo and code, also the Eickhorn logo and name. The scabbard bears the typical black painted finish with 99% original black finish remaining.
