A beautiful early quality Luftwaffe sword by E & F Hörster Solingen 

Price: £1,450

One of the nicest examples of the early Luftwaffe sword, complete with full nickel-silver mounts throughout. Stamped to the lower crossguard with Flight Training Unit 25 and individually numbered '33', the sword also bears the matching '33' numbers to the top of the scabbard mount. The numbers indicating that this sword would be loaned for use whilst on parade, and would be returned to stores afterwards. The sword has perfect blue grip leather and wire bounding,  and the nickle-silver mounts survive in excellent condition with good bold sunwheel swastikas. The blade survives in close to mint condition and bears the full 'Hörster' name and logo, along with the Waffenamt mark. Likewise, the scabbard remains in near mint condition with the blue leather wrapping in excellent order with its grain still clear. The sword is complete with its leather hanger assembly. Ex-Atkinson 'Museum of the German Airforce' collection.

A good Polizei NCO sword by Paul Weyersberg Solingen

A good example of the Polizei NCO sword by Paul Weyersberg Solingen. The mounts in plated nickel-silver and surviving in very good to excellent condition. The black ebony grip is perfect and features the cut-in aluminium type wreathed eagle/swastika. the Paul Weyersberg marked blade survives in superb condition with 98% polished finish remaing. The scabbard retains its original factory black painted finish (99% remaining), and the bottom mount remains in excellent condition. The sword carrys a later added portopee in mint condition. veteran acquired by the USA-based collector, Greg Warren.

A good Polizei Officers sword by Alcoso Solingen

A good example of the Polizei Officer sword by Alcoso Solingen. The mounts in plated nickel-silver and surviving in very good to excellent condition. The black ebony grip is near perfect and features the cut-in heavy silvered type wreathed eagle/swastika. the Alcoso marked blade remains in good order, with approximately 90% polished finish remaining ( just one slight area of small pitting running along the edge for about 6"stops the blade from being classified as excellent near mint) . The scabbard retains its original factory black painted finish (95% remaining), and the bottom mount remains in excellent condition. Veteran acquired by the USA-based collector, Greg Warren.

A scarce Alcoso unattributed officers sword

An excellent example of the Alcoso unattributed model sword. The sword survives in overall excellent condition with fine brass ornate hilt assembly and a fine polished black and wirebound grip. The obverse langet with golden Heer eagle/swastika, and the reverse with plain . The plain blade is in  excellent near mint condition, and the scabbard has approximately 98% original black paint remaining.

A scarce 1930s manufactured Alcoso '1811' pattern 'Blucher sabre' officers sword with personalisation

A beautiful example of the Alcoso '1811' pattern 'Blucher Sabre' model sword. This important pattern originated in 1811 as the so-called 'Blucher Sabre', and was copied from the British 1796 pattern cavalry sabre. Alcosso decided to bring out their version of this sabre in the 1930s when it was adopted by members of the Heer, and also members of the SS (albiet suitably silver-plated). The sword survives in overall excellent condition with fine plain brass '1811' style hilt assembly and a fine polished black and wirebound grip. The obverse langet plain and the reverse with original owner's initials 'OH' . The hilt retains the original leather holding loop, and also its originally wrapped long hanging portopee. The plain blade (Alcoso name & logo marked) is in  excellent near mint condition, and the scabbard has approximately 95% original black paint remaining. A particularly nice and historically interesting sword.

A good Model 40 Kriegsmarine officer's sword by WKC Solingen 

Price:SOLD

A good example of the Kriegsmarine Model 40 officer's sword by WKC. The celluliod grip remains intact and in excellent condition, although the wire binding is slightly loose. The hilt retains approximately 60% of its original mercuric gilting, and also retains both the green and red eyes. The engraved blade has the sailing ships etch (pre-39 style), and is in overall very good condition, free from any heavy pitting or damage. The scabbard leather has survived in very good to excellent condition and is free from any splits, loose sewing or other damage, but the scabbard mounts have lost most of the original mercuric gilt finish (slight dent to reverse of bottom mount). A typical veteran bring back sword with a nice even age patina. Not mint condition, but a nice original Kriegsmarine sword at a realistic price.

A rare example of the Prison Administration Official's sword by Clemen & Jung

Often missing from a German sword collection is the rare to find Prison Official sword, by Clemen & Jung Solingen. This example has survived in mint condition with the eagle head top, black ivorine grip, and straight wing eagle/swastika to crossguard. The entire hilt assembly is in gold wash over aluminium, and 99% of the gold wash remains intact. Blade is in mint pristine condition with 100% polish and the scabbard retains 99.5% original fine satined black finish. A close to faultless sword, and an extremely rare pattern to find.

An extremely rare example of the so-called 'Fallschirmjager' officers sword manufactured by E.Pack & Sohne

Often missing from a German sword collection is the rare to find and so-called ' Fallschirmjager' sword by E.Pack & Sohne Solingen. This example has survived in very close to mint condition with a typical antique bronze finish. With lion head top, and straight wing eagle/swastika to crossguard, this sword also has a Luftwaffe style eagle/swastika to the knuckle bow. The entire hilt area remains in perfect condition, with a fine black polished ivorine and wire bound grip. Blade is mint with 100% polish (bearing E.P. & S maker name) and the scabbard retains 98% original fine polished black paint finish. A near faultless sword, and an extremely rare pattern to find.

A rare and fine etched bladed model 61 officers sword manufactured by Holler Solingen

An excellent example of the Holler Model 61 sword complete with a beautiful half etched blade. This example was awarded to an officer with 'Pionierbataillon 27 for a shooting contest on the 8th October 1940. Reverse has floral etch with crossed swords. The sword survives in overall excellent condition with much gilt remaining to the hilt, along with a fine polished black and wirebound grip. The etched blade is in excellent condition, although there are a couple of areas where damp has slightly pitted the etch, this is just surface pitting, but is evident. The scabbard is virtually perfect, with 98% original polished black paint remaining. The sword comes complete with a very nice officer's portopee.

A scarce model 1017 officers sword manufactured by Herder Solingen

An excellent example of the Herder Model 1017 sword. The sword survives in overall excellent condition with brass ornate hilt assembly and ruby eyes to head, along with a fine polished black and wirebound grip. The plain blade is in very good to excellent condition, with minute pitting spots evident  in a couple of places. The scabbard shows some use, and has approximately 60% original black paint remining.
