The Allach Goddess Athena

(Check for availability and price)

Finest white glazed porcelain by the SS owned prestigious firm of 'Allach-München GmBH', the Athena figurine was undoubtedly the most beautiful figurine to come out of this porcelain house. Athena holds an olive branch in one hand symbolising peace and a column in the other symbolising culture and civilisation. The figurine stands on a white glazed base, which bears the Munich coat-of-arms in relief. The reverse of the base bears the relief dedication 'TAG DER DEUTSCHEN KUNST 1938'. Under the base is the Allach relief octagon with the entwined green runes logo and name. The artist's name 'Prof.TH.Karner' is also impressed to the base.

A superb and untouched Heer Infantry Standard Bearers tunic for Infantry Regiment '70'

Price: £2250 - $4250

This completely original Standard Bearers tunic is finished in highest quality field grey ribbed gabardine with dark green collar. The tunic retains the epaulettes with silvered pip and regimental number '70', along with fine old silver litzen collar patches and a stunning early quality old silver bullion wire eagle/swastika. The sleeve retains the BeVo woven Infantry Standard Bearer patch. The tunic is complete with a fine quality early pattern markmanship lanyard. The quality of this tunic is breathtaking, and is definately enhanced by the use of early old silver tresse throughout, rather than the later aluminium. The tunic survives in mint pristine condition apart from the typical (and in this case pleasing) patination of the old silver tresse. The tunic is original in all respects and the Standard Bearer patch is not a later addition. Originally apart of the well known Green collection, where it had been acquired back in the early 1970s.

A unique and historical First Pattern Blood Order numbered '6' and originally belonging to Dr.Emil Ketterer

Price: SOLD

A superb near mint condition example of the first pattern Blood Order, numbered '6' and originally belonging to Dr.Emil Ketterer. During the 1930s, Ketterer became the SA Chief of Medical Services holding the rank of SA-Obergruppenführer, and became heavily involved in the advancement and promotion of the euthanasia programm. The Blood Order is complete with its original water-flecked button-hole ribbon, and the '990' silver medal retains 95% of its original special anodised finish. As with all first pattern Blood Order medals, the base of the reverse bears the makers name, J.Feuss, München. Apart of the ULRIC of ENGLAND collection since the early 1980s, this is undoubtably the most significant Blood Order available today.

A unique and historical black office jacket originally belonging to SS-Oberstgruppenführer Franz Xaver Schwarz

Price: On request

Franz Xaver Schwarz was the man behind the NSDAP, Party Treasurer from the humble beginnings of the Party. It was with the approval of Schwarz that Himmler was made Reichsführer-SS, and it would appear that the two men politely approved of each other's abilities. This office jacket dates to 1928 and is of the most beautiful quality, and it is believed the especially high quality SS armband was added by Schwarz to this jacket during the 1930s. The tunic is manufactured from the highest quality black doeskin material and has a fully tailored silk lining. All the buttons are also of the highest quality, with a superb silver plate finish. The tunic was acquired by ULRIC of ENGLAND in 1976, at which time various uniforms of Schwarz were unearthed in Germany. Schwarz was obviously not officially a member of the SS in 1928, so this jacket was probably tailored simply as an office jacket. The tunic is photographed in SS REGALIA page 39.

An extremely rare full citation for the Oakleaves to the Knights Cross awarded to Luftwaffe fighter-ace, Heinz Schmidt

Price: SOLD

The citation remains in close to mint condition, within its outer protective box. The vellum folder remains free from any stains or damage, and the mercuric gilt eagle/swastika has just light age patination in evidence. The citation page remains as fresh as it was when awarded back in the 1940s, with both the golden eagle/swastika and the 'Heinz Schmidt' name 100% intact. The ink Hitler signature is also unfaded, and typical of his signature type at this time. Schmidt was born on the same day as Hitler in 1920, and is credited with no less than 173 victories in Russia. He was shot down twice over Russian territory, both times managing to escape back to his unit.

An extremely rare Luftwaffe Salver & Schnapps Beaker grouping to fighter-ace, and Oakleaves winner, Rudolf Frank 1/NJG3

Price: SOLD

A seldom seen mess salver & schnapps beaker grouping, with a typical heavy silvered salver bearing the beautifully engraved squadron badge to the top. The salver also gives the listing of aircraft downed by Frank along with the date. His first kill was a Wellington, which he downed on 4.7.41 (details confirmed in 'Jagdflieger' by Obermaier). Along with the salver are ten heavy silvered scnapps beakers, each engraved with the squadron badge, unit, and Frank's name. The reverse side with the engraved details of his 'kill' along with aircraft type. Both the salver and the beakers remain unpolished and with a beautiful patina. Complimenting the group, are two period photographs of Frank (modern frames), along with a beautiful period miniature photograph album. The 'Meine Dienstzeit' album conforms to those readily available within canteens, but is wonderfully miniature. The blue covered album has a miniature Luftwaffe eagle/swastika to the cover, and contains a large number of small photographs of Frank and his family. Frank was one of the most successful night fighter pilots of his squadron, achieving a total of 183 missions and 45 night victories. In April 1944, Frank shot down a Lancaster, which managed to ram Frank before going down. Frank was killed at the point of impact. A superb and very personal grouping, no doubt used on many occasions by Frank and his comrades after a successful mission ! Ex-Atkinson 'Museum of the German Airforce' collection.
