Luftwaffe Flak OR/NCO Triple-Erel peak visor cap named to Gefreiter Josef Kreuzer from Grossarl, Austria

Price: £975

A superb and extremely rare example of a Triple-Erel Flak OR/NCO cap. The cap has a beautiful gabardine field blue top and black mohair band along with silver aluminium badges. The typical golden beige silk nterior is near mint and bears the full celluliod diamond with silver blocked Erel name logo (Standard Quality), still attached to the celluliod diamond is the Erel 'Stirnschutz' card, machined into position at the point of manufacture. The cap has obviously seen slight use probably as a 'number one' dress cap, and situated under the Erel card is a paper label showing the original owner as Gefreiter.Josef Kreuzer from Grossarl, Austria. The ventilated leather has the usual brass vent ring positioned behind, and the beige leather is fully Erel blocked. There are a couple of small moth holes in the roof, and a couple under the back of the flap over; fortunately they do not detract from the cap visually from the front, but it is simply due to them being present that keeps the cap at a very acceptable price. Undoubtably the least expensive Triple-Erel visor cap for sale, and actually far rarer than any Triple-Erel officer caps to find. This is a cap which should be fully researchable. Grossarl is a small market town situated in the ski resort area of St.Johann im Pongau, near Salzburg. These are still small tightly nit communities, making Josef Kreuzer very easy to research.
