We are interested in hearing from anyone that has a 2nd pattern Blood Order number along with the recipients name. We have been making note of these as and when we have found them. Unfortunately so far an exact list of recipient names along with their awarded number has only come to light for the 1st pattern Blood Order. So we are trying to build up a listing for the 2nd pattern awards. No easy task.

Knights Cross grouping to the famous Stuka air ace, Walter Stimpel (who flew with Geschwader 77 -The Stuka Squadron), group consists of the 'Vorschlagsliste' with excellent portrait, 1941 dated document detailing why Stimpel should get the KC (sent to Göring) 'Vorschlagsliste 2' detailing the award of the KC to Stimpel, report by fellow KC winner Oberstleutnant Orthofer (Stimpel's commander) concerning the action and bravery of Stimpel. Further documents in this group include a letter from Göring accepting the proposal, two photographs taken in the air by Stimpel relating to this action and a photograph album with 38 photographs which include many of Stimpel. Beautiful hand carved wooden 'honour' salver salver awarded to Oberleutnant Schubert. Central design of Luftwaffe eagle/swastika over car radiator (in the form of the trade patch for drivers). salver states in carved gothic wording that the salver was presented by the men of the 4th Company to their leader.
