Imperial damascus bladed smarine Officers hammered scabbard dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen

A most superb example of an Imperial hammered scabbard marine dagger by Eickhorn and with owner's initials. Fine off white ivory grip and original wrapped golden wire binding, the dagger still retaining the original old silver portopee. The damascus blade bears the squirrel logo and C.E. initials, and to the other side, nicely engraved initials 'Fr'. The golden hammered scabbard retains approximately 85% finish, the hammering remaining clearly defined, and even the rings are with a hammered finish. The complete dagger has a wonderful feel of quality and has survived in overall excellent condition.

An excellent example of the Imperial marine damascus bladed dagger by carl Eickhorn with fine off white ivory grip and original wrapped golden wire binding, the dagger still retaining the original silver and black/red flecked portopee. The blade is a fine damascus version with the squirrel logo and C.E. initials. The scabbard is very nicely impressed with oakleaves design, and rope rings, which is free from dents or damage. The complete dagger has a wonderful feel of subdued quality and has survived in overall excellent condition.

Special Honour Edition of 'Unsere Luft-Streitkräfte 1914-18'

This magnificent volume with special binding and well in excess of 500 large format pages was published in 1930. Given as a gift to Hauptmann Pretschner in 1942, a presentation page bears the hand ink signatures of all members of his Luftwaffe unit. The book chronicles the Imperial German Luftwaffe from 1914 - 1918 and is complete with a multitude of photographs in black/white & colour along with special fold out details of every aircraft manufactured. Of additional interest is a Roll of Imperial German airman to the back. Surviving in excellent condition, this is an extremely scarce publication to encounter.

'Ehrendenkmal der Deutschen Armee und Marine' - Special edition for personal presentation by Hindenburg

This incredible publication measures in at 38cm x 28cm and is 7cm thick. With in excess of 650 pages (not including colour and black/white lithograph plates) the publication is of fine art quality throughout. Each text page is in two colour, with black text and red decoration top and bottom and each lithograph is protected by its own blank sheet of protective paper. The book retains the special presentation page and also has fold out colour plates of Imperial German flags by the eminent artist Knötel. The book cover has a beige coloured linen cover with a stylised colour impressed artwork of a knight in a suit of armour. This book has has survived in mint condition, retaining both its plain protective dust jacket and a lavish red leatherette style slip case. A beautiful piece.
